Ajay Gosain

Ajay Gosain’s experience in the entertainment industry has seen the decades, different areas and dramatic changes .  As an artist manager and attorney based in Chicago his clients include musicians, labels, songwriters and performers in rock, hip-hop, dance and truly bizarre.  On the music side his clients range from local indie groups to gold and platinum selling songwriters, bands and producers based in the U.S., Canada and UK.  Additionally, Ajay represents tech start ups, food and beverage companies, film makers, actors, production companies, models, live performers, photographers and graphic artists.

His exposure to the music industry began while playing in bands in the 1990s and continued through the early 2000s.  Releasing records and touring exposed him to various facets of the music industry.  His past also includes stints in radio promotions, booking, retail promotion and marketing as well as owning and running a record label.  Currently, he focuses on his law practice, managing artists, licensing music for film, television, video games and commercials, managing the Metro in Chicago and teaching at Columbia College Chicago.

Ajay’s experience as an artist, artist manager, label owner and lawyer help him cater his services to his friends and clients as they navigate their way through the entertainment industry.  Focusing on artist’s unique long term career goals, Ajay helps devise and implement strategies and time lines to help artist’s focus on their art while at the same time reaching their business goals.

 

Kerry Brown

Over the past 30 years Kerry has written, produced, mixed, edited and engineered music for multi-platinum artists, feature films, television and video games. Kerry has been involved in the production and marketing of over 50 million records sold. He has produced, executive produced and consulted on numerous high level entertainment properties. Using his strategic thinking and knowledge of emerging digital trends he realizes and executes projects to maximize brand exposure. Kerry owns Starry Records, Coldwater Studio and with his wife Stacey Sher owns Shiny Penny Creative. Kerry co-owns Kat & Dog Productions a music placement company.

Kerry Brown has produced the music soundtracks to major Hollywood motion pictures including Blow and P.S. I Love You. He is a supporter of many music-related productions, including the music documentary Hit So Hard about Patty Schemel of the band Hole, and David J of Bauhaus/Love and Rockets 2011 album, ‘Not Long For This World’.

The Smashing Pumpkins’ 2007 album Zeitgeist was recorded in his home studio. At least 300 Smashing Pumpkins songs have been recorded in Brown’s home studio during the 2000s in demo format, including original versions of many songs that later appeared on the eighth Smashing Pumpkins album, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope.

In 2009, he joined Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro, and several others in the band Spirits in the Sky. In September 2009, he went with Corgan to Chicago to begin work producing the Smashing Pumpkins album, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope.

Brown has produced records for Los Angeles’ legendary underground artists and bands, including Sky Saxon, Twilight Singers, Greg Dulli, Fancy Space People, The Woolly Bandits, Evil Beaver, Damien Youth and Ysanne Spevack. He continues to compose and record tracks for release of his own music, in which he sings and plays all the instruments.
